Foam 600

Foam 600

Polyurethane

Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) is the most common type of insulation foam. It was developed in 1940 and was employed by the United States Army for use in airplanes. In the early 1970s, it became widely used as a general foam insulation material. One of the applications of polyurethane foam is object insulation. This category of chemical materials is composed of two main substances: polyol and isocyanate, both of which are liquid in nature. Upon mixing, these two substances react and expand into foam, which solidifies after a period of time. This rapid drying process results in the creation of a relatively permanent insulation that does not crack or change its shape. If the foam expands beyond the desired area, excess foam can be trimmed to the desired size.

how to maintain

Be sure to wear a mask, goggles, clothing, and safety gloves when using. The vapors of this foam should not be inhaled. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately.

Keep away from direct sunlight and at a temperature below 50 ° C. Do not pierce or burn foam cans after use. Keep out of reach of children.

How to use

  1. First, before using adhesives and sealants, you must clean the desired surface from grease and dust so that the sealing operation and connection of the foam and the surface are accompanied by higher quality, and as a result, the sealing strength and durability.
  2. In the second step, prepare the polyurethane sealant spray foam and shake the spray foam for 1 minute or 20 times to mix the contents and increase its quality and efficiency. This step is more important.
  3. In the next step, spray some water to the desired surface with a sprinkler, because this will increase the surface moisture and polyurethane sealant foam spray and increase the quality and efficiency of polyurethane sealant foam spray.
  4. The speed and method of spraying should not be associated with high speed, ie it is better to use sealing foam spray at a slow and uniform speed so that the polyurethane and the gas inside it are combined and removed in the correct and accurate ratio.
  5. Then allow the foam to dry. Using a cutter, cut the extra parts to achieve the desired level according to taste. Dried foam spray can be sanded or painted.
