In 1953, Rocket Chemical, a California-based company, launched the first series of products, the WD-40, which was used to degrease and clean parts used in the aerospace and rocket industries.
In 1969 the company was renamed WD-40 Company Inc and entered the stock market in 1973 with a 61% increase in value on the first day. Since then, the company's activities have increased and today, in addition to home consumption, it is also used in the automotive, sports, aerospace, building, agriculture, and computer industries.
In 2008, an automatic model or Pen was introduced, which features easy transportation, the abandonment of the spray method, and the ability to rub in contact with the desired location.
